It's Not a Secret...

We are pregnant with #2!  We were SHOCKED when we found out, but we are blessed...and a little overwhelmed.  This baby is due May 15th, 2010.  Here is a picture - still very tiny!
I asked Dr. A the other day, "So, I am really pregnant?"  He said, "You have been pregnant!"  Time to get on board - ha! I found out very early, so I have known about 6 weeks.  It has taken some time to process, but we are resting in God's will and sovereignty.  Turner will be 17 months (Lord willing) when this one is born.  I laughed at my sister for having hers that close together.  Well, that came back at me!  After our appointment last week, I have been fine with people knowing, just been hesitant and a little fearful to post it so publicly.  But we are resting in the verse, "Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."  Phil. 1:6
In other news, Turner is now 10 months!  I am glad he waited until about a month or so ago to crawl around, because he is all over the place!!  He loves to stand up.

This makes me laugh - this is what I see a lot, little hands and little eyes!

He falls a lot, but he just gets right back up.  His head has bumps and bruises from hitting the coffee table so much.  The other day he was crying and I started fussing at the coffee table for hitting him, and he just laughed.  Oh, to be a fly on the wall in our house.  He is also talking all the time, he just doesn't know what he is saying.  He loves to say "Dat!"  It doesn't mean Dad or that, but it is what he says consistently.  I am trying to teach him "Mmmm, mama" but he just laughs in my face and reaches again for the remote.

Playing with his favorite toy - the yellow ball that jingles (Big Brother shirt made by Aunt Lindsey - that is how we told the Hendersons)

He is also a huge fan of cups and water bottles!

And he doesn't know how to slow down on the bottles!

We have had a busy fall.  He is still loving Mother's Day Out.  He doesn't even turn his head when I leave, that turkey!  He barely looks at me when I go in to check on him - he just keeps crawling around and trying to walk while holding on to things like beds and toys.  Not walking yet, though.  That is okay with me - crawling is wearing me out!!  Also, he is eating more and more human food.  I dropped him off in the nursery today for church and I had to check "Do not feed him crackers" on the information sheet.  To which they replied, "You know he loves crackers?  We have been giving them to him for weeks."  Oh, my bad.  Uncheck.  He tore up the crackers!  And teddy grahams tonight at dinner, and Cheerios and puffs and any kind of bread.  He has started a really annoying shriek (given it is a happy sound, but still annoying) when he wants food.  He did it at dinner the other night.  The table next to us thought it was cute (it is not that cute), but there was definitely a couple about our age who clearly did not have kids that was glaring at me.  I glared right back, like "Get back to me when you have kids!"  Ughh.
We have had fun watching the Auburn game with friends (even yesterday's).

With Weaver and Anna - they look sad because their moms don't have blogs :(

After the Mount Laurel Harvest Festival with his buddy, York.  We didn't get a picture with his other buddy, Harrison, but we sure did have fun!

And we even visited Volree and baby Cooper.  He kept trying to grab Cooper's head, though, so we had to stop that photo shoot early.

  3. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Lucy and Jack (our first two) were 17 months apart.... look out! You'll be on the fast track to five before you know it. :-) It is a lot of fun having them that close. We wouldn't have it any other way. Obviously.
Turner will be a great big brother. And a super cute one at that!
